Medi-Aid Education

First Aid and Health Protection Education (Neuron Progressive School)

Neuron Progressive School always strives to teach students things they can use not only in exams but also in real life. With this in mind, we've integrated First Aid and Health Protection Education into our curriculum. From the primary level, this education teaches children how to help themselves or others during minor accidents or illnesses.

Why is This Education Necessary?

Accidents can happen anytime, anywhere. If someone nearby can provide a little basic help when you suddenly cut your foot, burn your hand, or someone gets a fever, bigger damage can often be avoided.

Through this education, children will:

  • Learn how to bandage or dress minor injuries.
  • Understand what symptoms require rest and when to call a doctor.
  • Develop habits like handwashing, staying clean, and properly using masks.
  • Become self-reliant and cultivate a mindset of helping others.

What is Taught?

  1. First Aid:
    • How to clean cuts or burns.
    • Applying bandages with disinfectants.
    • Basic ways to stop bleeding.
  2. Recognizing and Understanding Minor Symptoms:
    • What to do for a fever, headache, stomach ache, or weakness.
    • How to use a thermometer or pulse oximeter.
    • When to rest at home and when to inform adults or see a doctor.
  3. Hygiene and Daily Care:
    • The correct way to wash hands.
    • Cough and sneeze etiquette (covering mouth when coughing, using tissues).
    • Keeping the face and body clean.
    • Drinking pure water and eating healthy food.

How is it Taught?

We teach this subject to children in an easy and step-by-step manner, tailored to their age.

  • There's a dedicated class every week.
  • Teaching is done using videos and demonstrations.
  • Students practice things like applying small bandages and reading thermometers themselves.
  • The school has a First Aid Box, and rules for its use are also taught.
  • Sometimes a "Health Day" is observed, featuring children's health check-ups, awareness posters, and games.

Who Receives This Education?

This course is offered to students from Grade 2 to Grade 5. The content is presented in a simple and fun way, appropriate for their age.

Our Goal

We want each of our students to become not just good students, but also conscious, caring, and responsible individuals. Through First Aid and Health Protection Education, we teach them things that will benefit themselves and others in the future.
